Whew..what a week! Does anyone else feel like they deserve a medal by Friday? I don’t know why but this week just felt so long! So you may have already seen most of these on my Insta Stories the other night but I did a try on session at one of my favorite retailers! I wanted to share all these items in a blog post so I could give more detail about fabric and fit PLUS these items are all 40% off! I absolutely love doing these dressing room stories and am thinking I will do a Friday Fitting Room Recap every Friday!! What are your thoughts? Comment below! These photos are all taken on my iPhone so hopefully you can get a good idea of what these look like on! All of the images are shoppable but I have also linked them all together at the bottom of the page (plus a few things I am eyeing from online) Lets dive right in..
I am a sucker for stripes, so there was no doubt that when I picked this top up I knew it would be coming home with me! I am wearing an XS and would say it is true to size. I did not have any issues with the sizing. I would say order your true size! This top is perfect to dress up for work but also take it into happy hour with the gals! This also comes in light blue and a dark gray. I kinda want to buy them all…
Here it is in light blue. It is a little sheer in this color.
Continuing on to the other item that came home with me, is this adorable smock waist top! It comes in the Poppy print as well as solid Black. I decided to purchase the Black because it was more practical for me but I have non-stop been thinking about the floral. You know what they say, if it fits buy it in every color (shoes or tops, same thing). I am also wearing an XS and would say it has a slightly over-sized fit. I would stick to ordering your true size. This fabric is very lightweight and did notice in the floral version that it was a little sheer, so keep that in mind.
Here it is in the “Poppy” print
Okay now considering it is still cold AF here in Georgia, this one was one of the more practical items that I tried on. I have been loving baby pink lately and this one checks all of the boxes. I think it will not only be perfect for now but also when we transition into spring! This is also an oversized fit and I am wearing an XS. It isn’t super heavy but I would definitely say it has some weight to it. I also love it front tucked into jeans!
I was not lying when I said I had a problem…with stripes! It is my go-to (always)!! I love mixing stripes with prints and how easy it is to pair with other colors! So of course this one drew me in! I love the whipstitch detail on the sleeve and how comfy it is! The sleeve is also a little big (balloon effect) but this piece could easily be dressed up for work or paired with distressed denim for some weekend fun! This is a great piece for layering.
Speaking of layering. I wish I got a picture of just this sweater but I didn’t. In the sweater I sized up to a Small because I wanted it a little longer. This is the perfect everyday sweater and there are so many ways to wear it! The other item I am loving-and had been looking for, for some time, is a good pair of camo jeans! These fit perfectly and I love the shades of green. I love using olive as a neutral so you could even pair these with a really pretty pink top! I wore my usual 0 in the pants.
Sweater linked below and comes in some of the most amazing colors!
The top is not my favorite but it is linked here. Camo jeans linked here:
More stripes…but really, this one is so perfect for work! I think it will be perfect with a pair of white jeans. I loves the vintage feel of it and you cannot go wrong with a button down-or have to many! I am wearing a size S in the picture but the sleeves were a little too big so I would have purchased an XS.
OMG. Give me all the pearl detail items (AND BELL SLEEVES)! I shared on my Instagram a few weeks ago my new favorite distressed jeans that have pearl detail (here) and I am not stopping there. This top is absolutely darling!! I love that is also a chambray material so it is not heavy at all! I cannot wait to wait this one with white jeans either. I am wearing size XS. My only concern…how do I wash it?!
Who loves a good transition dress? This girl! Although I think it is too soon to wear this dress as is, I think it would be so adorable with a sweater (like the cream one above) tied up and worn over it! I love wearing sweaters over dresses and even did a blog post on it (linked here). This one is also such a great length! I am about 5′ 4″ and this one would totally be appropriate for work!
The last stripe item-I promise! The sleeve on this was just two fun! I am wearing size XS and it has a really good length to it. It would be perfect for tucking into a skirt for work and will transition into spring perfectly. I love the nautical feel it has and I think it is a piece you could really wear all year long!
I hope you enjoyed this recap and let me know if you have any questions at all! The boots worn in this try-on are here (color is taupe)!
