Happy hump day friends!
This Wednesday isn’t so bad because Josh and I are headed to Highlands, NC for a little weekend getaway which means Thursday is my Friday (happy dance)!. As I spoke about in Monday’s post, I absolutely love pieces that I can wear for work and play. My post on my must-have items this fall is coming but it the meantime, I am highlighting one of those items today! On my must-have list is a leather mini skirt, and I am loving this one! Unfortunately, this exact one has sold out online so I will be linking a few others. I will let you all know as soon as this $19.99 skirt in back online because it really is my favorite. You can check your local H&M store because it was in the Atlantic Station location (in Atlanta) as of this week! This skirt has some great sew lines which make it really flattering and it is a little longer than a mini, making it more appropriate for work! I love how I can pair this skirt with a tee and sneakers for a casual look or throw on a body suit or sequins for a night out (or NYE even, yes I am thinking ahead)!
For this look, I paired another H&M item, this lace tank! This tank has the prettiest lace insert and it tucks into a skirt effortlessly. Unfortunately, I have scoured the internet for this top but it is nowhere to be found. I love the combination of a feminine lace with this skirt. It is the perfect “Edgy Feminine” blend. I will link a similar option below!
I lived in New York City for a little over 9 months after I graduated college and purchased many hats. For some reason, I thought it would make me seem less southern (LOL). I always felt ridiculous wearing them since none of my peers really wore them, so for this shoot, I decided to get a little out of my comfort zone! Again, I wouldn’t consider myself a hat person but it seemed like a fun touch to this outfit and I am kinda loving how it turned out! Next time I may opt for one a smaller option (small head probs) just so it is more proportionate to my face. The one I am wearing is old, but I have linked others affordable options below.
My OTK boots were purchased last year but they are still available and I contemplate buying them in other colors almost weekly (someone make me pull the trigger)! They are true to size and a great dupe to the Stuart Weitzman boots but have a wallet-friendly price tag. Personally, I think they are very comfortable and since there is a zipper in the back it is easy to wear them over jeans (which is very important to me). You will be seeing these boots a lot this Fall and Winter so get ready to see all the different ways I style them.
I hope y’all are enjoying your week! Does anyone else have any weekend plans? Comment down below!
