Happy Monday!! This Georgia weather just keeps getting cooler so I am starting to transition my Spring wardrobe into Fall. Since I work as an Assistant Buyer by day, I am always looking for pieces that can be worn for work and play! So in today’s post, I am taking a simple work skirt and styling it for a fun Fall look!
I cannot stop buying sweaters, so when I was in H&M the other day I couldn’t help myself with this chenille cropped sweater. I admit I have a problem. Every year when I need new sweaters to add to my collection, this is the first place I look- they always have the best prices! I decided to pair this sweater with a plaid skirt that I could also wear to work. I love that I can easily wear these two items separately to create two new outfits! With this skirt, I can tuck in a blouse and add a blazer for work meetings, or add a leather jacket for some edge for a night out! I am already planning to wear this sweater with some high-waisted jeans for a more casual look. But right now, I am loving over-sized sweaters with skirts or layered over dresses!
For this post, I chose my favorite cut-out ankle booties (yes, they are the same ones I own in brown). I could have easily paired this look with my OTK boots too, but I think it dresses it up a little more! Steve Madden has come out with an updated bootie, linked here.
Lastly, I have to talk about my accessories. I bought these earrings a few months ago and cannot stop wearing them. I love the statement they make and they are not too heavy on my ears. This purse is about 4 years old and has stayed in perfect condition. I am not the best at treating my items with care and that is how I know the quality of this brand is impeccable. I love a pop of color in a neutral-colored outfit, so this was a no-brainer.
Let me know in the comments what kinds of post you would like to see from me in the future!
